  1. This is one of those movies where I could justify any ranking from 1 to 5. It has about as many minutes of on-screen torture as 'Sade,' including a little something for you scat lovers out there. And it's truthiness drains the possibility of enjoyment from even its "bang bang" action sequences. Is this radical? As with 'The Passion of the Christ,' I believe the audience's function here is not to enjoy it but to bear witness.
